The Tea Journal

A leaf grew somewhere. A flower opened. A spice traveled. Someone harvested it, dried it, prepared it, blended it, brewed it, and eventually placed a warm cup between their hands.

Behind something as ordinary as making tea are centuries of history, remarkable places, traditions passed between generations, a surprising amount of science, and countless small human stories. We find all of that endlessly fascinating.

And this is where we come to explore it.

We are students of tea ourselves.

There is far too much history, culture, craft, science, and tradition surrounding tea for us to pretend we could ever know it all. We wouldn’t want to.

Part of what makes this world so interesting is knowing there will always be another thing to discover.

So when we learn something fascinating, we want to share it.
